Buzz Palmer, CEO @ The Actuator. Buzz is the founder and CEO of the MedTech Actuator (Australia’s National MedTech Catalyst) and one of Australia’s leading voices in entrepreneurship and MedTech innovation. Buzz is a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist and Professor of Commercialisation at Monash University. Buzz also holds the positions of strategic advisor to the European Commission, sits on the NHMRC Health Innovation Advisory Council and is an advisor on the Victorian Government’s Innovation Expert Panel.
Rachelle Downie, Senior Associate @ Corrs. Rachelle works as a lawyer in the IP, Technology and Competition team at Corrs, focusing on patent litigation. She has experience in pharmaceutical patent litigation in matters before the Federal Court and Full Federal Court of Australia. Rachelle also holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and previously practised as a pharmacist.
Jason Aldworth, Co-Founder & Chairman @ 3DMEDiTech. Jason is co-founder and chairman of 3DMEDiTech, a state-of-the-art 3D printing facility that is revolutionising the healthcare industry across the Asia Pacific. 3DMediTech is a large-scale manufacturer of customised 3D printed medical and healthcare devices.
Robyn Heard, Senior Associate @ Griffith Hack. Robyn is a patent attorney in the IT, Electrical and Physics group at Griffith Hack working with clients along their commercialisation journey to develop and evolve their IP strategy, including in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications. Robyn works with a range of established companies and startups in the medtech sector, in a variety of technology areas including diagnostic systems, surgical devices, and software based medical systems, including applications of AI to diagnostics and therapy. She is also active within the medtech startup community, mentoring teams through accelerator programs and universities.
Suman Reddy, Senior Associate @ Corrs . Suman works as a lawyer within the technology and IP team at Corrs and has a passion for medtech and the health sector having completed a science degree and worked as a clinical and sales consultant in the medical device industry for over five years prior to becoming a lawyer.
