David Gallagher, Christian Manning and Jamie Asher of Liberty International Underwriters will present on trends in the IT Liability insurance industry in Australia.

They will discuss issues around IT Liability insurance policies and IT contracts including the effects of Assumed Liability exclusions in insurance policies and effects of the insured agreeing to limitation of liability provisions.

This session promises to be very interesting for everyone involved in IT contracting.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.

As senior IT Liability Underwriter, David brings highly specialised experience to work in helping LIU’s IT clients manage their Liability Insurance risks.

David has Bachelor of Commerce and Science qualifications from Waikato and Auckland Universities and more than 17 years experience in the insurance industry. His insurance industry experience covers a wide range of businesses as he has worked in broking, on the agency side and with underwriting organisations.

Christian Manning
Assistant Vice President – Specialty Casualty

With more than 16 years insurance industry experience, Christian manages LIU’s Southern Region Specialty Casualty team.

Christian is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Insurance, has a Bachelor of Economics Degree from Sydney University and has underwritten insurance in Australia’s three largest jurisdictions.  He has worked with LIU for more than 6 years.

Jaime Asher
Senior Underwriter – Specialty Casualty

Jaime has been working in the insurance industry for more than 15 years and has been with LIU for 9 years.  She has extensive international experience, having worked for both a Syndicate and the Company market in London where she started with LIU London in 2002. In 2005, Jaime relocated to our Hong Kong office where she was responsible for Financial Lines business across North Asia until 2009 when she moved to Australia. 

Jaime is now working for LIU in Melbourne looking after Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia with a focus on all LIU Financial Lines.  Jaime also has specific responsibility for driving the LIU IT Liability products in the Southern Region.
