Businesses (and their legal advisers) need to be aware of the current and emerging issues with respect to cyber and network risk. As well as the particular risk of major damage that can be caused to a business, both in terms of direct financial consequences and reputational impact, there are also obligations on businesses to comply with regulatory regimes and other mandatory obligations.

Kevin P. Kalinich J.D. is the Global Practice Leader, Professional Risk Solutions/Network Risk at global insurance broker, Aon.  A former lawyer, Kevin leads Aon’s global practice to identify exposures, work with businesses to address them and develop insurance solutions related to such risks to minimise the impact on business. A recognised world thought leader, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field.

His presentation will consider the current and emerging issues with respect to cyber and network risk from a global perspective with a focus on the way in which the USA is grappling with these problems and creating appropriate solutions, and the lessons for Australian businesses.
